Sugar cane diffusion plant

BMA sugar cane diffusion plants are now available with up to 12 m width for cane processing rates (subject to fibre content) of 9,000 to 12,000 t/d. Since its introduction in 1963, the high  efficiency of this solid/liquid extraction process has proven to be a great success:

  • High extraction figures topping 98% and averaging higher than 97.5% (reduced extraction)
  • Low primary energy requirements
  • Optimum reliability
  • Flexible adaptation to cane quality and operating conditions
  • Reduced number of operators
  • No costly annual inspection and maintenance
  • Simple manufacture and erection, along with a high percentage of work which can be carried out by the customer
  • Stationary stainless-steel screen bottom
  • Excellent price/performance ratio. Concept optimized during many years of practical experience:
  • Simplified block chain reinforced for a longer service life
  • Integrated juice tank
  • Flexible driving system, suited also for use on existing mills
  • Efficient cane feed for a uniform bagasse layer across the whole diffuser width.

Incorporation into a process control system for centralized monitoring and control is quite possible.
